We are excited and proud to announce that Skupos has just raised a $26M Series B round led by Insight Partners. All existing major investors including Toba participated in the round, plus new investors Unilever Ventures and Tao Capital. Forbes covered the announcement here.
Our model at Toba is to find exceptional entrepreneurs as early as possible and to be enthusiastic financial backers deep into a company’s fundraising lifecycle. Skupos is a perfect example of this methodology played out live, as we first invested alongside Dynamo Ventures in Skupos’s 2016 Seed Round, and are now are nearly doubling our lifetime capital commitment as a participant in the Series B.
Skupos is poised to be a dominant player in the CPG data analytics field and we have cheered them on as their store footprint rose from zero to over 7,000 retailers. The Skupos network now covers approximately nearly 5% of branded gasoline convenience store retailers in the United States and looks to double that count by end of year.
